It went really really well in my opinion.
I didn't actually do a head count but I guess there were about 18 people in attendance, including Rocky. I think Rocky recorded the whole thing.
Joe did a great job facilitating as Toastmaster and President.
There were two prepared speeches; I got to evaluate one. The table topics were fun; they were on current events from that day's newspaper. We had an Area Governor there and a couple other notable TMs. The people were really friendly and optimistic.
Joe had a Q/A session to answer peoples questions about the club and TMs as a whole. Overall, I think it was received very well. I like that Joe practically promised to the group that since two other Evanston clubs had closed, he's determined to not let that happen to this club. He of course spoke highly of Extreme and its members and how he's using ET as a model to strive toward.
I think Joe did a great job and I love his enthusiasm, excitement, and commitment about having a good productive club and I think is completely do-able! I could go on and on about how nice it was but I gotta go...you guys have a good meeting tonight.
