Dear District 30 10 of 10 pointsToastmaster Club Member:
Your Toastmaster club has been identified in a very unique position as having achieved and sustained President Distinguished 10 point status for 4 consecutive years or more. There are only (6) six clubs within District 30 who have achieved such a distinction and we would like to hear from you how it is done.
You are cordially invited to send a representative from your club to serve on a panel during the upcoming District 30 Fall Conference at the Skokie Hotel on Saturday, November 14, 2009. This education session is scheduled from 2:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Specifically, during the session, we are asking that the club representative provide an overview of the club's history and what it took to sustain a 10 point President Distinguished status. We anticipate that these opening remarks will take approximately 3 minutes. Because the design of the session is interactive, members in attendance will be able to ask questions of the panelists. The session will be moderated and it is anticipated that attendees will leave with tips and technique to influence club officers and members to greater success as a club, thus empowering members into greater individual success.
The clubs identified include community and corporate, open and closed clubs and run the spectrum of less than 8 years in existence to over 40 years and include: Crystal Lake Toastmasters Club, Fox Valley Toastmaster Club, Extreme Toastmasters Club, Oak Brook Speakers Toastmasters Club, Hines Verbal Aces Club, and MJM Speakers Circle. To ensure this cross representation, it is important that a member of your club participate.
We are also requesting a brief 100 words or less club history that will be included in a session hand-out. Also, please provide the name and contact information including e-mail address for individuals who may wish to contact the representative who will be presenting on the panel.
We are very excited that this unique opportunity is being
presented at our Fall Conference. We will be submitting your club information
for printing by November 3, 2009, so your prompt attention in this matter is
greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your willingness to help other
Toastmasters reach their fullest potential. If additional information is
needed, please feel free to email me.
Yours in Toastmasters,
T. Marion Johnson, DTM
